Wadi El Rayan National Park Entry facilities & landmark

The function of the main entry facility is to regulate and control access to this 1760 km2 park and to also serve as a functional monument building to landmark the park entry. The entry was to serve and manage visitors to this viable eco-tourism destination capable of generating income while benefiting local communities. It included ticketing and administration offices, shaded areas, staff kitchenette, and WCs.

The architectural concept of this structure was to embody the park’s and the region’s natural and cultural heritage. It also aimed to remain true to an ecologically sensitive architectural character through a design that is sensitive to the landscape and which responds to the natural, cultural, local vernacular architecture and traditions.
